The Challenge

A growing company's HR team was drowning in manual work. Attendance was tracked on paper sign-in sheets that had to be manually tallied at month-end. Performance reviews happened informally and inconsistently — there was no record of feedback or targets. Leave requests were sent via email, which meant approval chains got lost and leave balances were impossible to track accurately. Payroll was calculated manually using spreadsheets cross-referenced against the paper attendance records. Internal announcements went out on WhatsApp and were instantly buried. The HR team was spending the majority of their time on administrative tasks that software should be handling, while strategic HR work — hiring, culture, development — was neglected.

Our Solution

We built a comprehensive HRM platform using React and Node.js with dedicated modules for each HR function. Employees clock in and out digitally through the platform — attendance and working hours are calculated automatically with no manual tally. The leave management module handles requests, approvals, and balance tracking in a single workflow — managers approve from their dashboard, employees see their remaining balance in real time. Performance management gives managers a structured way to set targets, record reviews, and track metrics per employee over time. Payroll processing pulls directly from attendance and leave data, generating payroll calculations automatically and eliminating the spreadsheet reconciliation. An internal announcements module ensures company communications reach all employees in the platform, with read confirmation tracking. Employees have their own self-service dashboard to view attendance records, leave balances, payslips, and performance history without going through HR.
